Light, sense of place, atmosphere and experience, are fundamental elements in my work. The paintings come from an experience of and relationship to the landscape. This may be through trying to capture the essence of a moment; weather, illumination, or colour. This relationship with my surroundings is intensely important and gives life and energy to the work which I invite you to view.
